Je t'aime Paris

First day in Paris and the line in to the Notre Dame was shocking. We took a picture, had a snack and moved on. We strolled by our old hotel on the city island, Henry IV, then crossed the Pont Neuf to St. Germain. By then Rafa had fallen asleep so we gave Sisto a movie to watch and Eric and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant for the first time since we arrived. When Rafa woke up, we kept walking in to the neighborhood and made it to Luxembourg Gardens. We found Sisto the playground where he made a new German friend who was delighted to join Sisto's huge imagination around the park. Rafael loved it as well and was practicing his walking skills the entire time.

(a perfect example of Sisto photo-hombing every picture we take of Rafael…)

Ok-this picture below is taken in our current residence while in Paris. This 3 bedroom apartment in Montemarte (just a few blocks from the Moulin Rouge) is owned by a couple with a 7 year old boy. Needless to say, Sisto is sleeping in his room and going through his chest of toys every day. When asked if he'll give Grandmother and Grandaddy the tour tomorrow his response was: "I might be busy." When we got back from our outing this afternoon, I watched him close his bedroom door and try to lock it with the door stop. He said it was to keep up out, he wanted to play alone (except we heard him moaning 10 minutes later that he was stuck in there and wanted out).

When he's not snooping through the boy's bedroom, he has quickly taught himself how to put on the headphones, turn on the electric drums, jump on the stool, push the buttons with the sticks and start jamming. It's hilarious. Will have to post a video next so you can really get the full effect.
